You can fulfill language requirements for High School level study. The course content is equivalent to a full college semester of Greek Grammar.

Classical Language - College Prep!

Excellent for classical education portfolio and preparation. But allows you the extra benefit of equipping yourself in Biblical Study skill at the same time, which other language options can't offer.

Requirements

Equipment/Computer Requirements

In addition to a computer with internet capability, each student must have:

  1. Video / webcam
  2. Microphone / earphone
  3. Pen tablet (or similar device for writing onto an online whiteboard during the class)
  4. Access to a scanner to scan in assignments prior to class in PDF format, which can then be uploaded during the class

Classes will be conducted via the Zoom Meetings platform. The class will be accessed by a URL sent via email after registration and payment for the class. It will not cost the student any software fees to access the program for the class.

Personal Requirements

Age 13 and up may enroll.

Students | Parents | Pastors | Laymen - All welcome!

Student should have a basic understanding of grammar as a prerequisite - should be familiar with: noun, verb, adjective, subject, predicate. However, advanced grammar will be learned in the Greek class.

Diagrammatical Analysis will also be taught. If you ever thought diagramming was difficult, you will be greatly amazed at how easy diagramming in Greek is, as well as how it helps in properly interpreting Scriptural passages!

Also required is a desire and hunger to become a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

Course Material

The required text book is, "Essentials of New Testament Greek," author Ray Summers, revised by Thomas Sawyer.

Please note: there is an older version of this book which was NOT revised by Thomas Sawyer, and this older version is NOT acceptable for use in the class! Many of the "used" versions are this older version, make sure the one you purchase is the "revised by Thomas Sawyer" version. Beware also of pictures, since almost all pictures show the revised version, and we have had some students end up receiving the old version despite the picture in the advertisement.

It is recommended that each student have their own copy of the book, even if multiple family members are enrolled. The book will be marked and used as an important reference source for working with the Greek language in the future.
